Darby Fire 10/3/2020

4:57 PM Update
The fire is contained at 3 acres and county resources are beginning to be released. The US Forest service has lead the attack and a majority of their resources remain on scene for mop up efforts.

3:48 PM Update
Crews have a hose line completely around the fire and are cleaning up small spot fires. The fire is now 3.5 acres in size and crews will remain on scene for the next several hours to maintain control.

2:40 PM Update
Although crews have had a tough time gaining access, they are combining ground and air attack tactics to gain containment with retardant around three sides of the fire. The size of the fire is the same at less than 2.5 acres, the fire is staying within the retardant applied.

1:59 PM Initial Update
Pioneer Fire Protection District is on scene at a vegetation fire with the US Forest Service and Cal Fire in the area of Capps Crossing and North South Road, near 9N30 Road. The fire is currently less than 3 acres in size and we currently have aircraft and ground crews maintaining the fire. All resources are actively engaging in the fire,
