Aukum Rd, Somerset California, or conducted via Teleconference if necessary Due to COVID-19 19 Protocols, for the purpose of establishing, by resolution, at the said hearing the Pioneer Fire Protection District will consider all comments by interested persons in Resolution No. 2021-01.
RESOLUTION OF THE GOVERNING BOARD OF THE PIONEER FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT FIXING THE BENEFITS/COMPENSATION OF DIRECTORS OF THE BOARD PURSUANT TO FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT LAW OF 1987 AMENDED SECTION 9031, 13857, AND 32103 OF THE HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE AND TO SECTIONS 20200 THROUGH 20207 OF THE WATER CODE.

2. The address numbers shall be reflectorized white no less than four inches in height on a reflectorized district approved green background and shall be clearly visible from the address roadway. At the said hearing the Pioneer Fire Protection District will consider all comments by interested persons in the district Addressing of Building Revisions and amendments to Fire Water Supply without a Purveyor Residential & Commercial sections 8.8.12, 8.8.14; adding 8.8.14a and 8.8.14b.
8.8.12. A permanent sign shall be attached to the hydrant stating “NO PARKING – Drafting Fire Hydrant – _____ Gallons”. Permanent lettering characters shall be 1½ 3-inch minimum and shall be red in color on a white background. In addition, 4” or larger if the sign is located on the Water Tank (Hydrant must be within 3 feet of tank.
8.8.14. A reflectorized blue marker, with a minimum dimension of 3” inches, shall be located on the driveway address sign and within 3’ feet of the draft hydrant on a post or sign.

8.8.14aRequired PFPD Fire Water Supply Tank Sign requirements: Sign must be aluminum 12” wide by 9” high minimum, with navy blue backing and centered; 2” inch Arial Black Letter “PFPD” on top of sign, 4” inch Arial White Letters “FWST” and 2” inch Arial Black Letters of the tank size in gallons (exp. 3000 GAL) Refer to Attachment A. The sign must be mounted on a permanent wood or metal post no lower than 42” inches or higher than 60” inches displayed forward to be seen from main entrance.
8.8.14bAll PFPD Fire Water Supply Tank Signs and or reflectorized blue markers must have a completed and approved PFPD Fire Water Supply Tank/Blue Reflectorized Marker before displaying on property.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE PIONEER FIRE PROTECTION
DISTRICT
The Pioneer Fire Protection District will be accepting resumes to fill the remaining term of 1 vacated position (effective February 28 2021).
Appointment will serve until December 2, 2022
The Board can approve an appointee to fill the term at a Board Meeting allowable by Government Code §1780.
Interested registered voters and residents of the Pioneer Fire Protection District can apply by sending a resume and letter of interest to the District office. Resumes must be received no later than Friday April 9, 2021 at 12:00 pm.

This virtual workshop will educate our community on how the Pioneer Fire Protection District operates and will advise on the best course of action if an emergency is to occur in our district. Representatives from agencies who assist Pioneer Fire Protection District in the event of an emergency will also be presenting to discuss what their function is in an emergency and in the community.
Agencies that be represented at event will be Pioneer Fire Protection District, El Dorado County Emergency Services Authority, California Highway Patrol, El Dorado County Sherriff’s Office, Office of Emergency Services, and local Fire Safe Councils.
